October is more than pumpkin spice and falling leaves. It’s also the month to raise awareness about cancer. And it’s when America’s Car-Mart, a buy here pay here dealership, revs up its engines for its annual Drive Away Cancer campaign.
Our goal is to help raise awareness about all types of cancer. Customers can drive away with a quality, used vehicle and help us fight cancer.
For the eighth consecutive year, we’re delighted to support the American Cancer Society with a $10,000 donation for resources for cancer support, prevention, and research. Since 2016, Car-Mart has donated $80,000 to the American Cancer Society.
Car-Mart supports Hope Cancer Resources
Also, Car-Mart proudly participates in the Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala each year, the annual signature fundraiser for Hope Cancer Resources (HCR) in Rogers, Arkansas. The gala features a men’s fashion show where 20 distinguished men take to the stage to raise awareness and funds for HCR. This organization offers emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families.

This year’s Car-Mart representative is Jack Pew, Vice President of Operations, Region 4. “This event brings the community together and offers a better understanding of what families experience when someone in their family has cancer,” he says. “It’s the patients and their loved ones trying to support them. This is extremely important because it’s a challenging time for the entire family. So many emotions are involved in wanting your loved one to get well.”
