At America’s Car-Mart, we’re always excited about October. It’s our annual Drive Away Cancer Campaign. We’re proud to support the fight against cancer with a $10,000 donation to the American Cancer Society. This money will help the organization provide much-needed resources for cancer support, prevention, and research.
It’s our seventh year to give back with a $10,000 contribution to this worthy organization. We are proud to make this contribution through four $2,500 donations to four local ACS chapters including Rogers, Ark.; Tulsa, Okla.; Woodstock, Ga.; and Greenville, Texas. Through 2023, Car-Mart has donated $80,000 to the American Cancer Society.
Our October Drive Away Cancer promotion aims to raise awareness of breast and other cancers. Many of our associates will wear pink to show their support for both breast cancer and other forms of cancer.
Car-Mart supports Hope Cancer Resources
Additionally, every year, Car-Mart is proud to participate in the Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala, the annual, signature fundraiser for Hope Cancer Resources (HCR), Rogers, Ark. The gala is a men’s fashion show where 20 illustrious men take to the stage to help raise awareness and money for HCR. This organization provides emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families.

This year’s Car-Mart model was Mike Ward, Vice President of Associate Support. “I’m thrilled to be a model for the gala and help promote this worthy organization,” says Mike. “The idea of providing emotional and practical support is really an unbelievable service to people going through their difficult situations. I’m humbled to do what I can to support the cause.”

The American Cancer Society does tremendous work in its goal of having a world free from cancer. So, it’s gratifying to know our communities will benefit from education and research that will help prevent cancer.
