Exciting things happen at America’s Car-Mart when you have awesome leaders like Jeff Williams. He’s our Chief Executive Officer, and because of his outstanding leadership, he’s been named to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 2022 C-Suite Award Class.
Annually, the Journal recognizes business leaders in the region for their contribution and commitment to the community as well as their outstanding professional performance. In its eighth year, the program recognizes 10 C-level executives who have already made their mark but continue to excel in their industries.
With Jeff as Car-Mart’s leader, the company has made its mark in the used-car business. He exemplifies the heart and soul of Car-Mart and inspires our associates to achieve their best work in making a difference for our customers. We are proud of Jeff and the role his strategic leadership plays in Car-Mart’s continued success.
Congratulations, Jeff, on this well-deserved honor! Also, thanks to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal for recognizing our area’s most accomplished C-Suite leaders.
About Jeff Williams
Jeff joined Car-Mart in 2006. He has served as Chief Executive Office since January 2018, President since March 2016, and as a director since 2011. Before becoming President, he served as Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Vice President of Finance since October 2005.
During the pandemic in 2020, Jeff’s strategic decisions ensured all associates retained their jobs, while helping customers manage their lives so they could stay in their vehicles. Also, Car-Mart added more than 7,000 customers after adding about 5,000 the year before the health crisis.
Jeff is passionate about Car-Mart’s mission – to earn the repeat business of customers and to keep them on the road. He believes that Car-Mart provides peace of mind to customers in one stressful area of their lives (vehicle ownership). And he’s steadfast in telling associates there is purpose in their work.
Prior to Jeff’s Car-Mart career, he worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. and Coopers and Lybrand LLC in Tulsa, Okla. and Dallas, Texas. His experience also includes approximately five years as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations of Wynco, LLC, a nationwide distributor of animal health products.
Jeff is a board member of Mercy Health Northwest Arkansas Communities since July 2019 and the Jones Center and Jones Trust since January 2021.
