When Josue Saucedo joined America’s Car-Mart, he was looking for growth and opportunity. Yet Josue encountered so much more. He discovered a purpose in his work – helping people. Now, every day, at Car-Mart, he goes to work knowing the possibilities are endless.
“I’m thrilled to be in Taylor, Texas. It’s a fantastic opportunity. Getting to work with and help customers is incredible,” says Josue, the new Co-Manager at Car-Mart of Taylor. “[Car-Mart purchased Taylor Auto Credit in December 2022]. Plus, the sky’s the limit for the dealership and me.”
He joined Car-Mart as a Future Manager in February 2022 in Fort Smith, Ark. “The Future Manager training provided me with a solid foundation of the business and prepared me to make the right decisions,” Josue says. “I’m eager to put my training to work in Taylor for both our associates and customers.”
“Josue has fallen right in with the team! He’s added a lot of valuable Car-Mart knowledge. And he hit the ground running to ensure the transition between Taylor Auto Credit and Car-Mart is as smooth as possible to provide our community with the customer service they deserve,” says Keith Hagler, General Manager. “He’s also helped with marketing and service to get the word out that America’s Car-Mart has arrived in Taylor and is here to help keep people on the road!”
Recently, Josue reflected on joining Car-Mart and moving to Taylor:
Why are you happy to be in Taylor?
“It’s very exciting. I’m thrilled to work with associates who love what they do and want to help make Car-Mart successful in Taylor. They’re an amazing team, friendly and totally dedicated to helping their customers succeed.
I was super excited when I sold a car to my first customer in Taylor. When I told her, ‘You’re approved,’ her face lit up. She was thrilled that Car-Mart could help her.
And now I want to bring more customers to Car-Mart of Taylor so we can help them.”
What’s the best thing about working at Car-Mart?
“It’s the ability to make decisions that align with our company’s mission, vision, and values. We’re all about helping people. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to make a difference in someone’s life. That’s Car-Mart.
Plus, there are plenty of opportunities for career growth at Car-Mart. Many companies say there’s growth, but they fall short. At Car-Mart, there is a ladder to climb.”
What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work at Car-Mart?
“I was helping a husband and wife when everything clicked. They had been rejected at several other used car lots. They were at a tough spot in life, facing homelessness. They needed a vehicle. I talked to them and got to know him and understand their situation. And I was able to help get them into a vehicle that allowed them to get back on their feet. Several months later, they came to Car-Mart to thank me and shake my hand. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
What’s been your best Car-Mart moment?
“It was a long-standing customer who had experienced the untimely loss of family members. She needed our help, and here at Car-Mart we help customers when life is hard. We created a payment arrangement to stay on track and keep her in the vehicle. I’m happy to say this customer is doing well today.
It’s an incredible blessing to help. At Car-Mart, we have everything in place to help customers.”
How do you keep your customers on the road?
“For starters, we offer quality, used vehicles. We work one-on-one with customers to come up with a payment term that fits their budget. From there, it’s communications. Communication is everything. We have the ability to help people with any situation – good, bad, or indifferent as long as we communicate.”
What do you do when you’re not working at Car-Mart?
“I like to spend time with my wife, Karla, and our dog, Ella. I like to game. I collect Funko Pops. I play the double bass. And Karla and I watch a lot of TV shows.
NOTE: Josue’s favorite game is “Call of Duty.” He started collecting Funko Pops when a teacher gifted him one in high school. Today, he has well over 500 Funko Pops. And he has played with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra.
A native of Fort Smith, Josue has a Music Education degree from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith. We’re thrilled he’s found his home – and opportunity and purpose – at America’s Car-Mart of Taylor.
