“That’s my truck.”
That was the reaction long-time Car-Mart customer Allen Parish had when he drove by America’s Car-Mart of Shawnee, Oklahoma. and spotted the beautiful, dark blue Ford F-150.
Allen immediately turned into the dealership and expressed his interest. The Car-Mart team said, “Let’s see what we can do for you.” Allen happily traded in his Nissan Frontier and drove away happy.
“I was excited and over the moon when I drove off the lot. This truck is exactly what I was looking for. The color, engine size, make and model, and four doors. This was my truck!” exclaims Allen, while adding that the trade-in experience was “easy and awesome.”
The Ford F-150 is Allen’s ninth vehicle purchased at Car-Mart of Shawnee. He remembers each vehicle, including a GMC Envoy, two Ford Escapes, another Envoy, a Nissan pick-up, Dodge Caravan, and Ford Fusion. [The first vehicle was actually his mother’s vehicle, and he co-signed on the car note. Sadly, she passed away, and Allen got the vehicle, and his story with Car-Mart progressed from there.]
“Car-Mart takes care of me.”
“Car-Mart has done right by me. If an issue does surface, they make it right. I know them and they know me. I know what kind of service I’m getting. I’ll stick with Car-Mart,” says Allen, who once did venture to another used car dealership, but he wasn’t impressed.
“Having customers like Allan makes the job so rewarding. He’s a great customer, and we love it when he comes to make a payment. We have a good time when he’s here because we always take time to visit,” says Jimmie Lewis, Assistant Manager. “We truly appreciate his business. And if Allan ever needs anything from us, we’re here for him.”
Allen appreciates the quick and easy car-buying process at Car-Mart. Car-Mart associates explain everything to him each time. Car-Mart offers a wide selection of vehicles. And Car-Mart works with him. Plus, he likes the optional service contract package, which he always purchases for ‘peace of mind.’ “I like the oil changes and roadside assistance,” he says. “If I need a tow or have a flat tire, they’re there.”

He also enjoys the camaraderie with the Car-Mart of Shawnee team. “They joke with me, and I joke with them. They have made me feel really comfortable. Everyone knows me,” smiles Allen, who visits the dealership to make payments and to say ‘hi’ to everyone. On occasion, Allen pays online, which is super easy.
Allen’s friends and family know all about Car-Mart from him. He has recommended Car-Mart to many of them. And he’s earned some extra money through Car-Mart’s Sell-A-Friend program. “I like it. It’s easy money,” Allen smiles. “I tell them to go talk to Car-Mart. They’ll fix you up.”
Allen is definitely ‘fixed up’ and still smiling about his new ride. “This is the truck I’ve always wanted,” he concludes. “It’s my dream truck!”
